Kush Con!

Hey Buds, this is Ozzy, and this is my first ever blog on the website! this is a bit hard for me to type and express my emotions just because I have really never written a blog.  However, when my wife and I go on vacation I tend to vlog a bit. I’m an introvert so I hope this blog depicts my personal experience of our first Kush Con!

Sam asked me if I was interested in going to Kush Con and told me about it. At first, I’m not going to lie, I was a bit worried about how we were going to compare to other big named companies as far as booth, merchandise, face-to-face interactions, and real-life in-person feedback. Of course, I said yes.

As the days got closer and closer, she kept me updated on all the details. We started brainstorming on what to bring with us, what we were going to do, and how we were going to set everything up. When Sam came home with shirts, a banner, and stickers it all started to sink in. I started getting excited— really excited! We were going to participate in our first big event as a brand!

When we got there, we started walking into the convention center my nerves settled in. It felt reminiscent of my jiujitsu events, but I wasn’t getting punched or kicked (so there was nothing to worry about 🧘). As I had suspected when we were setting up our booth, I noticed we didn’t have much compared to other companies and booths. I told Sam (and myself) “We got this! No matter what the outcome, we came to expand our brand.” And just by being there, I feel we did just that.

Saturday was pretty much our busiest day. It really slowed down by Sunday. The people there were super nice and cool! There was a competitive side to a few, but we loved meeting everyone! Some of the people and companies we met were very informative and helpful. They gave us tips on how to improve that were excited to test out. We took turns walking around, trying different products from their free samples 😏. (For the record I got more free things than Sam because I showed some leg 😜).

By the end, we were exhausted. Our feet and backs hurt, and we were too high to see straight. But I wouldn’t have changed any of it. We gained a lot of knowledge and a few friends! This convention really showed me how has changed since we started Kush & Crime. It has been a lot of hard work, but I think it’s paying off. We still work full-time jobs and have other personal responsibilities, but we couldn’t have done any of this without all you guys listening and following us on our journey!

For more about our time at Kush Con, make sure to listen to next week’s episode, where we bring Mike from DroTV’s My First Time Podcast on and discuss some interesting facts about marijuana crimes.

Stay Safe & Stay Lifted!
